WASHINGTON, May 27 -- Coast Guard has issued a proposed rule called: Safety Zone; Sector Mobile Annual and Recurring Safety Zones.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on May 27 by M. O. Vega, Captain, U.S. Coast Guard, Captain of the Port Mobile.
Summary: The Coast Guard is proposing to revise its regulations for permanent safety zones in the Coast Guard Sector Mobile Captain of the Port Zone, 33 CFR 165.801 Table 7, to update the current list with revisions and additional events. The proposed safety zones are necessary to protect event participants, waterway users, and vessels from the potential hazards associated with these recurring events.
