Brief Summary: Diaphragm dysfunction contributes to prolonged mechanical ventilation (PMV) and difficult weaning. Inspiratory muscle training (IMT) may improve respiratory muscle performance, while serial diaphragm ultrasound offers a bedside method for monitoring diaphragmatic recovery.
