U.S. Representative Juan Ciscomani today visited Huachuca City to tout $1.3 million in federal funding he has preliminarily secured for the town's fire department for Fiscal Year 2027 (FY2027). Funding will help replace an aging fire engine with a quint ladder truck to enhance fire suppression, rescue, and emergency response capabilities in Huachuca City and beyond, through mutual aid resourcing between departments.
The funding passed the House Appropriations Committee's consideration of the Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations bills. Congress now needs to pass a budget for the President to sign this funding into law. As the only appropriator of the Arizona d...
