Beginning today, Sept. 8, 2026, routine water contact advisories for Mississippi beaches will be communicated through posted beach signage and the MDEQ Beach Monitoring website rather than text alerts and news releases.
Before heading to the beach, visit beaches.mdeq.ms.gov for the latest advisories and water quality conditions. Updates are posted to the website first, making it the fastest and most reliable source for current beach water quality information.
