BEAUMONT, Texas, Sept. 18 -- Lamar University issued the following news release:
The Cardinal Brass Quintet, Lamar University's faculty brass ensemble, released its debut album, "Hope Over Troubled Waters," Friday through Centaur Records.
The 10-track album features works by Madeline A. Lee, Joel Love, David F. Wilborn, Nick Rissman, Cait Nishimura and Marcus S. Grant. The collection explores "resilience, community, environment, remembrance, and renewal" while reflecting "the culture, landscape, and enduring spirit of the Gulf Coast," according to a release.
