Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a leader on the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced a Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) allocation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the City of Ronceverte for reconstruction of the Fred Workman Bridge in Greenbrier County, W.Va.
This allocation, which was secured through a CDS request made by Senator Capito in Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26), will be used for the demolition and rebuilding of the Fred Workman Bridge.
