U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) joined her colleagues in sending a bicameral letter to President Trump advocating for the release of Pastor Ezra Jin Mingri, lead pastor of Zion Church, ahead of the president's upcoming meeting with Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China (PRC). The letter was led by U.S. Senators Ted Budd (R-N.C.) and Tim Kaine (D-Va.), as well as U.S. Representatives Riley Moore (R-W.Va.-02) and Thomas Suozzi (D-N.Y.-03).
