What's next?" examines the breakdown in trade negotiations between the two countries and the potential effects of new tariffs on Canadian products.
In the article, Burkhart discussed a 50% tariff on Canadian plywood, a key material in housing construction. He explained that US production cannot meet domestic demand, meaning builders will need to continue sourcing plywood from Canada at a higher cost significantly affecting US housing affordability.
