WASHINGTON, June 26 -- Bureau of Indian Affairs has issued a notice called: HEARTH Act Approval of Caddo Nation of Oklahoma Leasing Ordinance.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on June 26 by William Henry Kirkland III, Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs.
Summary: The Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs approved the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma Leasing Ordinance under the Helping Expedite and Advance Responsible Tribal Homeownership Act of 2012 (HEARTH Act). With this approval, the Tribe is authorized to enter into leases without further approval from the Secretary of the Interior.
