Today, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), a member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, issued the following statement condemning Trump's executive order that directs federal agencies to boost the production of herbicide glyphosate, a chemical known to cause cancer:
"This executive order is a slap in the face to the thousands of Americans who have gotten cancer from glyphosate. Trump's executive order is nothing more than an attempt to protect one of the biggest producers of a toxic pesticide from legal liabilities.
