WASHINGTON, Oct. 9 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management issued the following press release:

LAKEWOOD, Colo.- The Bureau of Land Management today announced an oil and gas lease sale scheduled for Dec. 8, offering 113 oil and gas parcels totaling 126,440 acres in Colorado.

The BLM completed scoping on these parcels in Julyand held a public comment period that closed in Septemberon the parcels and the related environmental analysis. A 30-day public protest period to receive additional public input opened today and will close Nov. 9.
