WASHINGTON, April 3 -- Sen. Marsha Blackburn issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) sent a letter to Robert Malone, Director of Exempt Organizations and Government Entities at the Internal Revenue Service, regarding Planned Parenthood offering neurotoxin injections similar to Botox and other aesthetic treatments while maintaining its tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status. In the letter, Senator Blackburn asked the IRS to examine whether this use of tax-exempt status to generate new revenue streams complies with federal nonprofit and grant-funding requirements.
