BLACKSBURG, Va., Sept. 29 -- Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University issued the following news release:
Belinda McSwain Sturm, department head of the Charles E. Via, Jr. Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech, has been awarded the Moore Family Endowed Chair by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors.
This endowed chair was established with a generous gift from a member of the Moore family. The inaugural endowed chair is designated for the department head of the Charles E. Via, Jr. Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
