Today, House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) released the following statement after the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for February 2026 (https://www.bls.gov/news.release/cpi.nr0.htm), which shows inflation held steady at a 2.4 percent annual rate. Core inflation, which excludes the volatile food and energy prices, increased 2.5 percent year-over-year, in line with expectations:
