LANGLEY AFB, Va., Oct. 9 -- The U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command issued the following press release:

The Department of the Air Force officially named its newest Collaborative Combat Aircraft the FQ-42 Vengeance and FQ-44 Fury during Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink's keynote address at the Air and Space Forces Association's Air, Space and Cyber Conference, Sept. 14.

Revealing the official names was a natural next step for the CCA program as the Air Force modernizes the nation's aerial combat fleet.
