What Hotels and Tour Operators Get Wrong About Guest Wi-Fi
US, Aug. 24 -- For hotels and tour operators, Wi-Fi is often treated as a basic amenity: install a network, give guests the password, and consider the connectivity problem solved. For travelers, however, internet access has become part of the core travel experience.
Guests use their phones to access boarding passes, maps, translation apps, banking services, ride-hailing platforms, restaurant reservations, work accounts, and messaging. When the connection is slow, difficult to access, or unreliable, the problem quickly becomes more than a minor inconvenience.
The hospitality industry therefore needs to rethink what "good Wi-Fi" actually means.
