Caribbean Tourism Mobilizes in New York as Global Competition Intensifies
US, June 1 -- Against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty, shifting international travel patterns, airline capacity constraints, and intensifying global competition, a record post-pandemic gathering of Caribbean tourism ministers and commissioners has assembled in Manhattan to mark the opening of Caribbean Week in New York 2026.
The annual event, organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), runs June 1-5 at the InterContinental New York Times Square under the theme "One Caribbean: Infinite Experiences." Tourism leaders from more than 20 Caribbean destinations are using the gathering to strengthen regional cooperation, expand market share, and position the Caribbean as one of the world's most resilient tourism regions.
