Kolkata, June 14 -- Declaring a "zero tolerance" policy against corruption and irregularities in the Public Distribution System, West Bengal Food and Supplies and Cooperation Minister Ashok Kirtania said the BJP government is committed to ensuring people receive standard quality food grains at government-fixed rates without any malpractice.

"The entire food and public distribution system has been a mess. People were used to the idea that everything is manageable with money (kickbacks), and they can get away with anything - any kind of malpractice. But I have made it clear that this is not going to happen from now onwards," Kirtania told UNI in an interview.
