Lucknow, July 25 -- Jubilant scenes unfolded across Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi and several other parts of Uttar Pradesh after union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned, with many students calling it a long-overdue victory for the country's youth.

In Lucknow, thousands of young protesters had gathered at Eco Garden under the leadership of Azad Samaj Party chief and Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad, demanding Pradhan's resignation.
