Nagpur, June 18 -- The Crime Branch's Anti-Narcotics Cell arrested a youth and seized 121 grams of Mephedrone (MD) powder during a special operation in Nagpur, police said on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Narcotics Cell laid a trap and apprehended the accused Tulsiram Ramnath Thakur(25), resident of Jaripatka, while he was allegedly in possession of the banned narcotic substance.
During the search, police recovered 121 grams of MD powder, estimated to be worth several lakh rupees in the illegal market.
The accused has been booked under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and was taken into custody.
