Lucknow, June 9 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday paid tribute to Lord Birsa Munda on his death anniversary.
He said that the life of 'Dharti Aba', who energised tribal pride against the injustice of British rule and gave a new direction to India's freedom struggle with the immortal proclamation of 'Ulgulan', is illuminated by sacrifice, penance, and patriotism and is an eternal inspiration for India.
Yogi recalled that the tribal community called Birsa Munda 'Dharti Aba', meaning 'Father of the Earth'. Due to his charismatic and influential personality, people considered him a messenger of God.
