Bagalkot, Sept. 13 -- Expelled BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal on Sunday alleged that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) action against Karnataka Minister Satish Jarkiholi was linked to internal differences within the ruling Congress and Siddaramaiah's displeasure with him.

Reacting to allegations that the Congress was behind the ED action, Yatnal claimed that Jarkiholi had been among the MLAs who signed a petition expressing willingness to seek a change in the state leadership.

"Satish Jarkiholi has enmity within the Congress. He has done this as if a good leader is ready among the Valmiki community. He had signed the petition of 36 MLAs saying that he would have no objection if Siddaramaiah were removed," he told reporters.
