Dimapur, March 13 -- Nand Kishore Yadav was sworn in as the 23rd Governor of Nagaland in a ceremony at Lok Bhavan in Kohima on Friday.
Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, Justice Ashutosh Kumar administered the oath of office to the new governor in the presence of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
The ceremony was attended by members of the state cabinet, legislators, senior government officials, representatives of various organisations, and invited dignitaries.
Addressing the people of the state, Yadav conveyed his commitment to working for the welfare and progress of Nagaland.
Yadav stressed that the aspirations of the people for lasting peace, stability and development remain paramount.
