Hyderabad, Oct. 20 -- BRS working president K T Rama Rao today said the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant had achieved another milestone with the successful synchronisation of its 800 MW Unit-5 with the power grid.
In a post on social media platform X, KTR said the 4,000 MW mega project was envisioned by former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and backed by a Rs 20,400 crore order to BHEL.
He described the project as a symbol of Telangana's power sector transformation, noting that the State's installed power generation capacity had increased from 7,778 MW in 2014 to nearly 20,000 MW over the following decade. He credited the growth to KCR's vision.
