Aizawl, May 27 -- Mizoram's lone Rajya Sabha member K. Vanlalvena has held a high-level meeting with senior officials of the World Bank in Washington DC to discuss possible financial assistance for a series of infrastructure and industrial development projects proposed for the state.
During the meeting, Vanlalvena interacted with four World Bank officials overseeing operations related to India, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
The delegation was led by Parameswar Iyer. Discussions centred on a range of development initiatives aimed at improving urban infrastructure, strengthening rural livelihoods andpromoting sustainable industries in Mizoram.
