The 37-day long campaign, which gained in intensity and steadily raised the political heat amid the scorching summer heat with the mercury level crossing 106 Deg F mark in some localities, came to end at 6.00 PM this evening after the leaders of various political parties and candidates made a last ditch effort to woo the voters by undertaking door to door campaigning.
