Cannes, March 11 -- In an effort to strengthen the presence of Indian independent cinema on the global stage, Women in Film India (WIF India) has announced a nationwide initiative to select two emerging women producers who will represent the country at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.
Founded by Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga Kapoor, the non-profit is offering a comprehensive scholarship that includes participation in the impACT Lab and the prestigious Producers Network during the Cannes Marche du Film this May.
