Sitapur, March 15 -- A shocking incident was reported from the Husain Ganj area of Sitapur district where a woman allegedly threw her six-month-old daughter into a canal following a dispute with her husband. The infant's body was recovered by villagers after about an hour of search, police said on Sunday.
According to local sources, Vipin Kumar and his wife Vandana, residents of the Husain Ganj area, had regular fights at home. On Saturday morning, the couple again had a heated quarrel, after which Vipin left the house on his motorcycle.
