Shimla, June 13 -- : A woman running a private school in Sanjauli's Housing Board Colony, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, was allegedly shot dead by unidentified assailants, police said on Saturday evening.
According to police, information was received that Meenakshi Mittal, director of Saraswati Paradise School, had been murdered after being shot by unknown persons at around 7.30 pm.
On receiving the information, a police team immediately rushed to the spot and carried out a preliminary inspection of the crime scene.
The area was secured, and evidence collection was initiated.
