Panchkula, Aug. 13 -- The State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB), Faridabad, has arrested a woman head constable posted in Nuh district for allegedly accepting a Rs 15,000 bribe in connection with an FIR investigation.
According to the SV&ACB, the accused police official posted at Sadar Tawru Police Station allegedly demanded Rs 20,000 from the complainant to remove his name from the investigation into an FIR registered at Tawru police station.
The complainant approached the SV&ACB alleging that the police official was demanding a bribe. The bureau said the accused, L/HC Priyanka, had already allegedly received Rs 5,000 and was demanding the remaining Rs 15,000.
