Varanasi, July 26 -- A joint team of the Sigra police station and the Cyber Crime Cell in Varanasi, took major action as part of the statewide campaign "Operation Vajra," exposing a gang that forged Aadhaar cards and opened accounts in various banks in the names of people.

Police have arrested six accused, including the female leader of the gang. The bank accounts recovered from their possession have revealed fraud totaling Rs 76,44,476.97 in 21 cyber complaints filed in various states across the country.
