Mumbai, Sept. 6 -- A 45-year-old woman was killed and two others were injured on Sunday after a speeding car allegedly lost control and crashed into several vehicles in Kharegaon in the Kalwa area of Thane, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Shubhangi Patil, a resident of Kharegaon, police said.
The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Kalwa police station when the speeding car allegedly veered out of control and rammed into multiple vehicles, according to preliminary information.
The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. Their condition was not immediately known.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the collision. Further details were awaited.
