Unnao, April 24 -- A woman died and her husband and young son were seriously injured after a cooking gas cylinder exploded in a house in Shuklaganj of this Uttar Pradesh city, police said on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Anjana. Her husband Kamal and their five-year-old son Krishna sustained critical injuries in the blast that took place in the Thakurkheda area under Gangaghat police station limits on Thursday night.
According to officials, the explosion occurred while the family was cooking. The impact was so powerful that the single-storey house collapsed, with walls and roof caving in.
