Badaun, April 11 -- A woman was burned alive in a car fire while her husband sustained serious injuries attempting to rescue her late Friday night in the Usahait area of the district, police said.
According to reports, Arpit Bhardwaj, a resident of Usahait, was returning home with his wife Priya from Lucknow after she was discharged from a private hospital. Around 1:30 am, when their car reached near Rahauta village, smoke suddenly began to emerge from the vehicle. Within moments, the car was engulfed in flames.
