Imphal, March 20 -- The World Meetei Council (WMC) has expressed serious concern over alleged inaction and mismanagement by both the Central and Manipur governments amid reports of a blockade in Manipur.
The Imphal Mao national highway and Imphal Jiribam highway the only two highways in Manipur are blocked by Kuki bodies to stop movement of Meitei since May 3, 2023 while the Imphal-Ukhrul road, part of National Highway-202 is also blocked by Kuki bodies to stop movement of Tangkhul and other Naga in Manipur.
