Mumbai, Aug. 6 -- In a major strategic bid to win back disaffected Gen Z youth, the Devendra Fadnavis-led Maharashtra government has rolled out a sweeping damage-control initiative to tackle youth unemployment and economic frustration.
As part of a massive statewide push, the Department of Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation has announced plans to organise 1,000 job fairs across Maharashtra by March 31, 2027. The blueprint was finalised during a high-level state-level employment fair committee meeting chaired by Skill Development Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha.
