Jammu, March 11 -- Setting his priorities as the new Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday reiterated his commitment to make the hill state drug-free through youth engagement programmes and promote organic farming in the state.
After taking oath as Himachal Pradesh Governor at Raj Bhawan in Shimla on Tuesday, Kavinder Gupta reached here this afternoon.
Interacting with the media, Gupta, said that growing menace of drug addiction is a major worry for the state and collective efforts by the government, civil society and communities were essential to eradicate the problem of substance abuse and safeguard the future of the younger generation.
