New Delhi, July 13 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday said it would repeal the controversial Section 39A of the Goa Town and Country Planning Act within a month of coming to power in the state, alleging that the provision has been misused to facilitate large-scale land conversion in favour of private developers.

Addressing protesters from Goa's Carapur village at Jantar Mantar here, AAP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Atishi accused the BJP-led Goa government of using the provision to hand over land, forests and water resources to builders at the expense of local communities and the environment.
