Kolkata, June 12 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday announced a probe into the expenditure incurred towards organising the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) during the tenure of the previous Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in the state.

Adhikari alleged that a sum of Rs 635 crore was paid to "an event management company for organising BGBS.""I found out that Rs 635 crore had been paid to a particular event management company to organise the BGBS. The previous government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was the organiser of the event," Adhikari said here while addressing a press conference organised by the BJP to mark 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led dispensation at the Centre.
