Srinagar, March 26 -- Swami Kalikananda Saraswati on Thursday said that a Kumbh Mela will be organised in Kashmir from July 15 to 24 after a gap of a decade, with participation open to people of all faiths without caste, creed or gender divisions.
He said they will be holding the Kumbh Mela at Shadipora in Bandipora district from July 15-24.
"The event aims to promote unity and inclusiveness," he told reporters in Srinagar, adding that Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and Buddhists are being invited to participate.
He said the objective of the Kumbh in Kashmir is to go beyond religious and political boundaries and promote harmony.
