Kolkata, July 4 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday announced the appointment of senior IAS officer Dushyant Nariala as Chairman of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC).
The chief minister described the move as a key step towards creating a transparent, merit-based and politically independent recruitment system.
Announcing the appointment on his X (formerly Twitter handle), Adhikari said his government had made a "firm commitment" to bring complete transparency to the recruitment process and restructure recruitment commissions on the lines of the union Public Service Commission (UPSC), free from political influence.
