Bengaluru, May 18 -- Rain may have stolen centre stage on the opening day of the SM Krishna Memorial Open ATP Challenger, but not before Bengaluru teenager Aradhya Kshitij gave the home spectators a glimpse of a bright future at the SM Krishna Tennis Stadium here on Monday.

The heavens opened repeatedly over the city, halting play and eventually washing out the remainder of the day's schedule in the tournament's debut edition. But amid the grey skies and drenched courts, the 17-year-old wildcard emerged as the story of the day with a fearless run into the main draw.
