Prithviraj SinghDehradun, July 22 -- The Wildlife Institute of India (WII)'s study report has scuttled the Uttarakhand government's plan to widen the Pipalkoti-Pashulok Barrage 22-kilometre road due to the presence of tigers and other wildlife wealth in the area.
The institute has submitted a report to the Uttarakhand government forbidding the Public Works Department (PWD) from implementing the road-widening project in the high altitude district of Chamoli.
The WII report prepared on the request of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government has said "No" to the widening of the 22-kilometers Pashulok Barrage to Garud Chatti and Pipalkoti Road.
