Panchkula, Aug. 25 -- A woman and her alleged paramour were arrested within 24 hours on the charge of murdering her 42-year-old husband, whose body was reportedly buried in a pit near his house in Mojabad village under Tigao police station limits, police said.

According to a police spokesperson, the accused have been identified as Keshav, wife of the deceased, and Kamat, both originally from Uttar Pradesh. The arrests were made by the Crime Branch DLF, Faridabad, following a swift investigation into the murder.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Crime, Aman Yadav, said during a press conference that the investigation revealed that Kamat, who shared the house of the deceased, Shyamveer, reportedly had a relationship with Keshav.
