Mumbai, Sept. 9 -- The Bombay High Court on Wednesday asked the Maharashtra Police as to why Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar's son Parth Pawar, a Rajya Sabha MP, has not been named in the controversial Rs 300-crore Mundhwa land deal case.
A single-judge bench of Justice Madhav Jamdar also ordered the Director General of Police (DGP) to file his personal affidavit explaining the reason behind the omission.
Justice Jamdar pointed out that a Parth Pawar-linked company called Ameida Enterprises LLP allegedly purchased a 40-acre government-owned plot in Pune's Mundhwa area for an amount much less than the market value.
