New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a request by the High-Powered Committee examining the definition and protection of the Aravalli Hills for a six-month extension to submit its report, directing the panel to complete its work and file the report by November 30-an order that has now been questioned by the activists fighting for the conservation of the ancient mountain range. The activists said that the scientific rigour cannot be rushed as multiple inter-related dimensions need to be studied and validated.
