Lucknow, March 29 -- Wheat procurement in Uttar Pradesh will begin on Monday and continue until June 15 for the Rabi Marketing Year 2026-27.
More than 2.24 lakh farmers have registered to sell their produce even before the commencement of the procurement process. To ensure a smooth process, 3,574 procurement centres have already been set up across the state. Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat has been fixed at Rs 2,585 per quintal, which is Rs 160 higher than last year.
Officials here on Sunday said a total of 6,500 procurement centers will be set up in the state by eight agencies, including Food Department''s marketing branch.
