Varanasi, Oct. 9 -- Former Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai on Friday questioned the decision to name Jewar Airport after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the people of the country need work, not names. Instead of naming, the government should focus on addressing unemployment, inflation, and farmers' problems.
In a statement, Rai said that the cricket stadium in Ahmedabad has already been named Narendra Modi Stadium. Therefore, what benefit will the public derive from naming Jewar Airport after the Prime Minister? Renaming it after the Prime Minister will neither provide employment to the youth nor provide relief to families suffering from inflation.
