Dubai, June 16 -- A strong showing for the West Indies in their opening match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup has helped experienced captain Hayley Matthews overtake New Zealand counterpart Melie Kerr and regain her place at the top of the ICC Women's T20I All-Rounder Rankings.
Matthews contributed an excellent innings of 48 and picked up the valuable wicket of former New Zealand skipper Sophie Devine as the Caribbean side commenced their T20 World Cup campaign with an impressive seven-wicket triumph over the White Ferns and it proved enough to see the West Indies captain move back to the premier position for T20I all-rounders.
