Kolkata, June 6 -- Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday directed all district magistrates in West Bengal to expedite land acquisition for pending railway projects, stressing that delays would no longer be tolerated as the state seeks to accelerate rail infrastructure development.

The directive was issued during a meeting at Nabanna with union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

The Chief Minister instructed district administrations to prepare time-bound schedules detailing when and where land required for railway projects could be made available.
